Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Martha Louise Goliah

Martha Louise Goliah, born July 2,1913, departed this life on Tuesday, September 22. Daughter of the late Ethel and Joseph Carroll. She was a lifelong resident of Mamaroneck.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Henry Goliah,and her twin sister, Mary Branch. Surviving are a son, Charles Arnold Goliah; devoted friend, Paulette Francis; sister, Rebecca Thomas, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Goliah was a life member of Barry Avenue AME Zion Church, Sunday School Teacher; Sr.Choir; Stewardess Board and other ministries. Sincere gratitude to the nursing staff and employees of the Sara Neumann Nursing Home for their kind and exemplary attention during her residency.

Family to receive friends Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from10-11AM at Barry Avenue. AME Zion Church, 645 N. Barry Avenue, Mamaroneck. Funeral Tuesday, September 29 at 11AM at the church. Arrangements by Barney T. McClanahan F.H., Inc.
