The Larchmont Police Benevolent Association (PBA) is taking up to 100 local children to a day at the ball park on Saturday, June 20. The PBA is the union representing Larchmont police officers.
“It’s the PBA giving back to the community,” said Barbara Daquino, Larchmont’s youth officer. “The kids get to spend time with the cops and get to know their local police officers. “
The children will be taken by bus to a game between the Brooklyn Cyclones and the Yankees of Staten Island. The PBA will chaperone and pay for tickets, transportation and tee shirts for each child.
To be eligible to attend, children must be over age 9, and parents must complete a permission slip and bring it to the Larchmont Police headquarters at 120 Larchmont Avenue by Monday, June 15. Selection is on a first come, first served basis.
Those attending must arrive in front of Village Hall no later than 3:30 pm on June 15. Buses will leave before 4:00 pm for a 7:00 pm game.
