It was very heartwarming and overwhelming to have so many participate in the First Annual Stephen Spina Softball Classic for Stephen and our family. (See: Scouts Dedicate Bench to Murdered Dad.) Without the organizational efforts of John Boisitz, Christine Foley and Jason Spagnola, this event would not have been such a huge success. There are so many others involved who need thanks but it would take too much space to do it.
As a result of this tournament, we are able to post a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person who murdered Stephen. (See: Mamaroneck Man Murdered.) We hope this encourages someone to do the right thing and come forward with information to help solve this crime.
There were16 teams who participated with an estimated 700 people at Harbor Island throughout the weekend. The Daniel Cores Team won the tournament.
The entire weekend was a celebration of Stephen’s life and friendships. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better Inaugural event and we can’t wait until next year!
With our very heartfelt thanks to everyone involved.
