Tocci Vows to Fight On in General Election

by Paula Eisenberg

(September 10, 2002) Assemblyman Ron Tocci was unable to fend off challenger Noam Bramson in Tuesday''s Democratic primary. But in thanking campaign volunteers and supporters at his headquarters after conceding victory to Bramson, Tocci said, "There are no losers in this room. None. You only lose when you quit, and we're not quitting. We're starting over."

"I'm a regular Democrat, and I will stay a Democrat," Tocci said, vowing to reflect "the mainstream values" of his constituents during the general election race. Tocci will be on the ballot for the November election on the Republican, Conservative, Independence, and Working Families Party lines.

A long-time Tocci supporter, Mrs. Evelyn Breslaw of New Rochelle, said, "I've known Ron for many years, and I know he's there for the veterans and people of New Rochelle. The right people will come out in November."
