MARY HERSH

Mary Hersh, age 63, died, too young, on Friday, December 28, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Mary lived most of her life in the Town of Mamaroneck, except for a few years when she lived in Boston and met her beloved husband Ira. She loved Mamaroneck — the town that did not change — the Sound and the quiet of Manor Park.

She is survived by her two loving daughters Mara McGowan and Amanda Tozier and two caring sons-in-law Felix McGowan and Rob Tozier. In her last years, the lights of her life were her three grandchildren Caitlyn, Michael and John McGowan. Sadly, she will miss meeting her new grandchild in the Tozier family. Mary is also survived by her devoted siblings, sister Louise Johnson, brother Mark Eisner and sister-in-law Lynn Schwartz. In addition, Mary was an interested and generous aunt and great-aunt to a passel on nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom surrounded her on her last Christmas.

A Funeral Service will be held at the John J. Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont, NY 10538 at 10 am Tuesday, January 3rd. A chance to say good-bye to a kind and loving soul.
