JAMES JOSEPH LYNCH

James Joseph Lynch, 44, of New Rochelle, NY died peacefully at home on Friday, December 16, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jim was the devoted husband of Mary Elizabeth (nee Mannix) and loving father of James and Jeannine, ages 6 and 3 respectively.

Jim was born on May 9, 1961 in Washington Heights in New York City to John and Eileen (nee Leahy) Lynch currently of Brewster, NY. In addition to his family and parents, Jim is survived by his three devoted brothers; John and his wife Linda of Watertown, CT; Dr. Thomas and his wife Janine of Sarver, PA and Patrick and his wife Kathy of New Fairfield, CT. His father-in-law Richard E. Mannix of Larchmont and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends also survive Jim. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Jeannine P. Mannix.

Jim attended local schools and graduated from Brewster High School and Hofstra University. He also earned an M.B.A. from Pace University. Jim was a Vice-President, Certified Financial Planner with a distinguished 23-year career at The Bank of New York in New York City.

Jim and Liz were married on April 18, 1998 at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont where he was a parishioner. Jim's constant faith, courage, optimism and dignity and his great love and dedication to his family will continue to be an inspiration for all those who knew and loved him. He will forever be in our hearts. Jim's family would like to thank all those who supported him through his illness, especially Leonard Saltz, M.D., Debbie Semple, R.N. and the team at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Calvary Hospice.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 19 and Tuesday, December 20 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at John J. Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine Church, Larchmont will be at 10 am on Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to M.E. Lynch In Memory of James J. Lynch F.B.O.
