ROBERT FLYNN NAGLE
Robert Flynn Nagle of Mamaroneck, NY and Edgartown, MA passed away Tuesday,
November 29, 2005 at Boston's New England Baptist Hospital, surrounded by his
loving family, following a lengthy and courageous battle with leukemia.
Born at the North Adams Regional Hospital February 2, 1927 to James and Helen
Ferguson Nagle, he became an outstanding student and exceptional athlete.
Excelling as a pitcher in the sport of baseball, he was recruited by the famous
Boston Red Sox.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, after which he attended Tufts
University, The University of Massachusetts Teachers College, Hunter College,
the University of Connecticut, and The New School for Social Research. He was
an admired and respected educator in Mamaroneck and Westchester County, NY. He
was a contributor to his community in many outstanding capacities for over
fifty years.
Under his tutelage, children benefited from his unselfish devotion and
dedication to enriching their lives. He is survived by his loving wife of 52
years Nancy Karrey Nagle, his children and grandchildren Shaun, Karrey-Lynn,
Erin Jeff, Brendan, Taylor Kate, and Bronwynne.
A private service was held by the family in Boston, Mass.
