ANNE J. HILDEBRAND
Anne J. Hildebrand, 90, of East Sandwich, MA died on October 30 in
Sandwich. MA. She was the wife of George H. Hildebrand who died in 1998
and of Luke Murtha who died while serving in the U.S. Navy in 1944.
Born in Kulpmont, PA, she was the daughter of John and Helen (Yacenavich)
Shimones who had emigrated to the U.S. from Lithuania. Anne was a
homemaker who was very active in the Larchmont/Mamaroneck Movie Council,
parent/teacher affairs and St. Monica's Guild of St. Augustine's School
during her Larchmont years. She also had lived in Bronxville, NY and
Gulfport, FL before moving to Sandwich six years ago.
She leaves a daughter, Barbara (Mrs. Frank) Bernard of East Sandwich,
four sisters: Marcella Kaselonis of Mt. Carmel, PA, Mary Glennon of San
Diego, CA, Helen Rich of Stoneham and Emma Fetterman of St. Petersburg,
FL, three granddaughters: Michelle (Mrs. Paul) Romaniello of Pelham,
Christine (Mrs. Gregory) LeTourneau of Virginia, and Noelle Mrs. (Paul)
Hallahan of Ridgefield, CT and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass was held at the Our Lady of Hope Chapel in West
Barnstable, MA in early November and at St. Augustine's Church in
Larchmont on Saturday, November 26. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association of Cape Cod & Islands, PO
Box 953, Barnstable, MA 02630.
