ANNETTE P. CARLIER
Annette P. Carlier, nee Pequignot, 92, of Naples, passed away October 21, 2005. She
was born in Merion, PA to Sue V. and Frank C. Pequignot, a Philadelphia jeweler and
world renowned pearl expert. She came to Naples after retiring in 1973 from
Larchmont, NY, where she resided for 21 years.
Mrs. Carlier was a graduate of Mater Misericordia Academy. While in Larchmont, she
was president of St. Monica's Mothers' Guild at St. Augustine School. In Naples, she
was a long time volunteer at Bentley Village Health Care Center.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Shirley Conway of Falmouth, MA, Marie Louise
Kanach of Brownsburg, IN, Suzanne Poppe of Downingtown, PA, Annette McCarthy of
Grafton, MA, and Rosemary Francis of Wilmington, DE; stepsons, Robert Carlier of Port
Charlotte, FL and Philip Carlier of Punta Gorda, FL; 15 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. Her two
loving, wonderful husbands, H. Chandler Smith and R. Richard Carlier, preceded her in
death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 28, 2005 at 9:30 am at
St. Leo Catholic Church, Bonita Springs, FL. Burial will be at a later date at Naples
Memorial Gardens, Naples, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either
Hospice of Naples, 1095 Whippoorwill Ln., Naples, FL 34105 or the charity of one's
choice.
The family would also like to thank the staffs at Bentley Village and Hospice
