FRANCIS W. MCGEOUGH
Francis W. McGeough, age 82, died October 18, 2005 in Chilton Memorial Hospital,
Pompton Plains. Born in Frostburg, MD, and raised in Larchmont, NY, and graduated
from Mamaroneck High School in 1942.
Francis lived in Hoboken before moving to Pequannock 43 years ago. He was an Accountant
and worked for Shell Oil and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital before retiring in
1986; after retirement worked as a real estate agent.
He received bachelor's degrees from both Iona College (New Rochelle, NY) and St.
Bonaventure University.
He was predeceased by his wife Joan in 1995 and is survived by his daughters Joan
McGeough of Parsippany, Sharon McGeough Chapman of Pequannock, and Donna McGeough of
Lincoln Park; his sisters Connie Higbee of Mamaroneck NY, Alice Hanson of New Rochelle,
NY, Mary Western of California, and Marge Joyce of Minnesota and four grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, October 20 at 9 am, from the M. John Scanlan
Funeral Home, Pompton Plains, NJ.
