BARBARA THOMSEN

Barbara Thomsen of Mamaroneck, NY passed peacefully on October 9, 2005. She was a life long member of the Larchmont Yatch Club as well as a member of the Hawthorne Reformed Church with her long time companion Niel Petersen and their dog Maggie.

Barbara is survived by her three children; Debbie Thomsen of West Palm Beach, FL, Keith Thomsen and his wife Patricia of Mohegan Lake, NY and Stacy Bottjer and her husband Chris of Long Beach, NY; her brother Donald Meeker and his wife Bobbi of Glendale, CA; her four grandchildren; John Christopher (JC/Cripp) and his wife Sara and great grandchild Sofia, Kathy, David and Kristina. Barbara also leaves behind her life long friend Dorothy (Dotty) Paribello of East Hartford, CT and her two children Scott and Kimberly her God Child.

Barbara was born in Westchester, NY on June 8, 1940 to the late Annette and George Meeker of Larchmont, NY where she graduated Mamaroneck High School. She attended Endicott College before starting her family.

Barbara will be missed by the families and the many children she devoted her time and energy to. Many of those children are grown today and continued to keep in touch with each other during special times throughout the years. Barbara was a loving and giving mother and friend to all that knew her. She will be missed by her adoring brother, children and grandchildren, as our lives have changed forever. Holidays will never be the same. She was our strength and our foundation.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 13 at 11:00 am at Fox Funeral Home with a memorial service starting at 11:45 am.
