NEIL V. COLLINS

Neil V. Collins, 61, died of cancer on September 2, 2005 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford , CT. A resident of Brookfield, CT, formerly of Basking Ridge,NJ, and Greenburgh, NY, Mr Collins is survived by his wife, Kathryn McLoughlin Collins, his daughter Colette Collins Woelfle and two grandchildren, Timothy and Grace Woelfle of No. Salem , NY. He is survived also by seven brothers and sisters: William, of Fairfield , CT; Edward, of Boston , MA; Catherine Emmanuel, of Fairfield , CT; Carolyn Kostiw, of McLean , VA ; Michael, of Jacksonville , FL; Rosemary Weiss , of Fairfield , IA ; and Tracy Collins Williams, of East Lyme , CT. He was predeceased by his daughter Jeanne Collins, his brother Patrick Collins and his parents, William T. Collins II and Rosemary Powers Collins.

Mr. Collins was Sr. Manager of Credit and & Collections at MCI International for over 30 years. He was an accomplished birder and lectured and guided field trips for the New Jersey Audubon Society. A veteran of over 20 marathons, he placed competitively high in his age group in the NYC and Yonkers races numerous times, as well as Montreal and others.

Mr. Collins was born in NYC, grew up in Larchmont, NY, served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Mamaroneck High School and NYU.

Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc, Larchmont, NY. On Wednesday, September 7, a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Augustine 's Church in Larchmont with burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
