SALLY HAYES DAVIDSON
Sally Hayes Davidson, a longtime Larchmont resident, died peacefully with her children at
her side on July 28, 2005. She was 76. Born February 19, 1929 in New York City, she was a
graduate of White Plains High School. Sally attended the University of Richmond and went
on to work at the Young and Rubicam Advertising Agency, where she met her husband, John
Lee Davidson. They were married November 15, 1958. He passed away in 1972.
Sally was a parishioner of Sts. John and Paul Church, where she recently served as
treasurer of the Women's Guild. For over a decade, she was employed by the Mamaroneck
School District Special Education Department. For the last several years, she volunteered
for Fr. Benedict Groeschel's Franciscan Friar/Padre Pio, a homeless shelter in the Bronx.
A longtime member of the Larchmont Yacht Club, Sally enjoyed several artistic hobbies,
such as basket weaving, painting and photography.
Loving mother of John Lee Davidson, Jr. (wife Karen) or Ridgefield; Anne Davidson Taylor
(husband William) of Tampa; Brian Hayes Davidson (wife Sharon) of Brookfield and Marion
Davidson Brenner (husband Joseph) of San Diego. Cherished grandmother of Jack, Matthew
and Patrick Davidson, Johnny, Ryan and Shannon Taylor, and Katie, Emma, Olivia and Devin
Davidson.
Visitation Sunday, July 31 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston
Post Rd., Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass Monday, August 1 at 10 am, Sts. John and Paul RC
Church, followed by interment at Kensico Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be
sent to Fr. Benedict Groeschel/Padre Pio Shelter, P.O. Box 55, Larchmont, NY 10538.
