NICOLA "NICK" PANARO
Nicola “Nick“ Panaro
died on July 15, 2005 on his 69th birthday. Born in MalVito,
Italy, to Francesco and Giovannina (Gallo) Pannaro, he
came to America in 1955.
For 35
years, he owned & operated
the Metropolitan Barber Shop in Mamaroneck. Since 1971,
he was a member of the Mamaroneck Hook & Ladder Fire
Department. A member of the Knights of Columbus, Nick loved
gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He
volunteered his time to help the sick and elderly at numerous
hospitals and nursing homes.
He was
the loving husband of Carmela (Caldarone), cherished father
of Frank Panaro, Lisa Carinha (husband Michael) and Joanne
Zuck (husband Jack), beloved brother of Antoinette Nocito
(husband Nick) and the late Fausto Panaro, devoted grandfather
of Lauren, Michael, Jr., Nicholas and Meredith.
Visitation
Sunday July 17 and Monday July 18, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
pm, COXE & GRAZIANO
FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. Funeral
Mass Tuesday, 10 am, Most Holy Trinity RC Church, followed
by entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery. Donations to Most
Holy Church are requested.
