SALVATORE P. SALERNO

Salvatore P. Salerno, a lifetime Mamaroneck resident, died May 27, 2005. He was 87. Born January 4, 1918 to Enrico “Henry“ and Mary (Fiore) Salerno, Sal served in the Army during World War II. He worked for many years in the construction industry and was a 50 year member of the Laborers International Union of North America.

Sal was a member of the American Legion Band Post 93 in Port Chester where he enjoyed drumming. His joys included gardening and being in the pool.

Sal is survived by his loving wife Fanny (Doria) and devoted daughter Sallyann Salerno. Also survived by two sisters Rose Peralta and Millie Ciraco and his step-mother Theresa Salerno. He is predeceased by his sisters Connie Rainaldi and Patty Gasparini.

Visitation Tuesday evening, May 31 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, June 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Thursday, June 2 at 10 am St. Vito's followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
