ARMANDO LANCIA
Armando “Curly“ Lancia died March 25, 2005 at the age of 86.
As a Marine Veteran of World War II, Armando was awarded the Purple Heart. Most recently,
he was invited to participate in the commissioning of the battleship The Iwo Jima as an
honor for his involvement in that campaign.
Armando served his community through the Mamaroneck Auxiliary Police and his long
standing and active roll in the Boy Scouts of America.
Armando is predeceased by his mother Katherine and father Savario, his brothers Frank
Lancia of Virginia, and Guido Lancia who died in battle during the 2nd World War. His
sister Mary Brusini lives in Harrison and his brother Lindy Lancia resides in Rye,
New York. Armando is also survived by his wife Marcella, his daughter Dolores, his
son Stephen and his granddaughter Harly.
Friends and family may pay respects to the family on Wednesday, March 30th between the
hours of 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at the O'Neill Funeral Home in Mamaroneck,
New York. A Funeral Mass will be said at The Most Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 am on
Thursday, March 31st. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung
Association.
