LESLIE GITTENS

Leslie Gittens died on February 12, 2005 at age 72. Mr. Gittens was born in New Rochelle on June 27, 1932 to Benjamin and Rether (Thompson) Gittens.

He was a graduate of Bellows Class of '52 and a veteran of the Air Force in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Gittens was well known and loved in the community. He worked for the Mamaroneck Post Office for 37 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 90 where he was Sergeant at Arms.

He is survived by his wife Winnefred (Butcher), his daughter Dawn (husband James), grandchildren Jennie and Jessica. He will be sorely missed by his family and the many friends who knew and loved him.

Reposing Wednesday, February 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 East Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. Service Thursday, February 17 at 10 am at AME Zion Church followed by interment at Kensico.
