PAT J. FEDERICO
Pat J. Federico a resident of Port Chester died February 9, 2005. He was 85 and was born
November 22, 1919 in Williamsburg, CO to the late John and Vivian Paolino. He graduated from Mamaroneck
High School in 1938 and was manager of the football team.
Mr. Federico served in The United States Army during World War II in the Panama Canal Zone and was a
Staff Sergeant. He was married January 16, 1945 to Florence “Tootsie“ Passero in Port Chester. Pat
was the Country Club Manager at Bedford Golf and Tennis Club, he was also the owner and master of ceremony
at Post Lodge in Larchmont, NY. He was a devoted parishioner of Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester and
was an usher for 51 years. He was also president of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Club
Managers Association of America and in their hall of fame. He was also a member of the Port Chester
Housing Authority, Port Chester Parks Commission, 12 year member of the Port Chester Board of Education,
member of the Mamaroneck/Larchmont Old Timers Association, honorary member of the Port Chester Auxiliary
Police.
Mr. Federico was a former Port Chester Village Clerk, and a co-founder of the Port Chester/Rye Brook Retarded
Citizens Association. In 1997, he was grand marshal of the Port Chester Columbus Day Parade and in
1997 the recipient of the Port Chester Outstanding Citizens Award.
Mr. Federico is survived by his wife Florence “Tootsie“ Federico of Port Chester, son John Federico of
Rye Brook, NY, and granddaughter Christine Mack of California. He is also survived by many nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by his son Joseph Federico, brothers Carmen and Paul Federico and sister
Flora Smilanich.
Visitation will be 5-9 pm on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian
Burial will be 9:30 am on Monday, February 14, 2005 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent Street,
Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY. CRAFT MEMORIAL HOME, INC.,
