JAMES A. MCKNIGHT

James A. McKnight a longtime resident of Mamaroneck departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2005. Born May 18, 1909 to James I. and Sarah McKnight in Franklinton, NC where he graduated the public schools and attended college for two years. Married in 1945 to Hattie Ellis McKnight who survives.

A member of Union Baptist Church, Stamford, CT; Past Master of Xenia Lodge #50 F&AM (Prince Hall); El Jamal Temple #185; Potentate; Holy Royal Arch. Honorably served U.S. Army World War II. Surviving along with his beloved wife; a daughter Patricia Taylor; a sister Marjorie Pollard; a niece Evelyn Saunders; a nephew J.W. McKnight and others.

Visiting Friday, January 28 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm Barney T. McClanahan F.H., Inc., 30 Winthrop Avenue, New Rochelle. Funeral Saturday, January 29 at 10 am First Baptist Church, 817 Howard Avenue, Mamaroneck. Final disposition Ferncliff Cemetery.
