ANNE H. BROEKMAN
Anne H. Broekman, who lived in Larchmont for
45 years, died December 31st at White Plains Hospital after
a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. She is survived
by her daughters, Jessyca Broekman of Falmouth, Maine, and
Kukla Broekman of Weston, Connecticut; her two granddaughters,
Emily and Sarah Adler of Weston, Connecticut; and her two
sons-in-law, Al Aucella of Falmouth, Maine and Bruce Adler
of Weston, Connecticut.
She was born in New York and raised
in Amsterdam, Holland. She is a survivor of the holocaust
who came to New York at age 16 with her mother to begin
a new life. She spoke three languages, played the piano beautifully,
loved the ballet and the theatre, was an avid reader and
a passionate lover of animals. She worked full time until
recently. She will be greatly missed by her friends and
family.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Fox
Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5th at 11 AM. In lieu
of flowers, contributions
to the New Rochelle Humane Society would be welcomed.
