HARRY A. SIMON

Harry A. Simon, 73, formerly of Mamaroneck , died in Boca Raton on December 18, 2004 . He was born on July 28, 1931 to Philip and Henrietta Simon. Harry is survived by his wife Barbara, son Michael and his wife Mie Simon of Kingston, NY, daughter Phyllis and her husband Robert Gusick and their children Alison, Douglas and William, all of Chappaqua, NY. Harry's first wife, Anna Lee (Rechter) Simon passed away in 1983.

He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1952 and his Doctorate in Education from NYU in 1968. Harry was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army.

A 30 year resident of Mamaroneck , he touched the lives of many young students as a teacher of science at Mamaroneck High School. After moving to Florida , he continued teaching as a professor at Palm Beach Community College. Harry was a dedicated, long time member of Westchester Jewish Center.

A private graveside service is being held on Tuesday, December 21. The family will be sitting Shiva on that evening at the Gusick residence in Chappaqua. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
