NATALE S. (NATE) CASTERELLA
Natale S. (Nate) Casterella, Sr. of Port Chester
died on November 30, 2004 at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT.
He was 76. He was born on April 13, 1928 in Mamaroneck, NY to Natale
and Mary Bilotta Casterella. Nate was educated in Mamaroneck.
Mr. Casterella worked as a self-employed contractor in Port
Chester for 40 years. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953
attaining the rank of Corporal, 2nd Engineer Amphibious
Supporting Brigade in Japan and Korea. On August 28, 1955, he
married Elvira Ciancio at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester, NY.
He lived in Port Chester for the past 49 years; before that he
lived in Mamaroneck, NY. He will be remembered for his strong
family values as a husband, father and grandfather. Nate was a
hard working man who gained the respect of everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife Elvira (Vera) Casterella, sons Natale
(Nate) Jr., Anthony and wife Adriane, Enrico (Ricky) and
grandchildren Anthony, Jr. and Emily all of Port Chester.
A brother Orlando (Londy) of Florida, sisters Theresa DeLeo of
Las Vegas, Carmella Miles of Mamaroneck and Mrs. John (Mary)
Corsi of Mamaroneck. Family members who died earlier include
sister Lena Ciancio, brothers John, Anthony and Gabriel.
Calling hours are Thursday, December 2, 2004 4-9 pm at
James J. Gunipero Funeral Home, Inc., 353 Westchester Avenue,
Port Chester, NY. The Funeral is Friday, December 3, 2004 at
9:30 am at Corpus Christi Church, Port Chester, NY. Interment
will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Street, Greenwich, CT.
