VIRGINIA MANCINI

Virginia Mancini of Larchmont passed away at home under the care of Hospice on November 13, 2004 , at 90 years of age. She was born to Lillian and Clinton Miller on August 29, 1914 in Bridgeton, NJ.

While in high school she excelled in swimming and track. Virginia attended nursing school at Yonkers General Hospital, graduating as a registered nurse in 1935. She worked in many NY hospitals; locally in Osborn Memorial Home, and retired at age 70 as head evening nurse at Sarah Neuman Nursing home in Mamaroneck, NY.

Virginia is survived by daughter, Jackie Albert, husband Gordon, of Larchmont; son, Arthur Mancini, wife Jacqui of Walnut Creek, CA; and brother, John Miller of Deptford, NJ. She was grandmother to Chris Albert, Rachel (Kevin) Kastner, and Valerie (Patrick) Moussignac, and great-grandmother to Michael, Jane, Mary Albert and Kaitlyn Moussignac. She was predeceased by husband, Arthur; brother, George and sister, Dorothy.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2004, 2-4 pm in the afternoon, and 7-9 pm in the evening with a Service at 8 pm at John J. Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road, Larchmont, NY. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven, Hawthorne, NY on Friday morning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester, 95 S. Broadway, White Plains, NY 10601.
