BARBARA A. COLUCCI
Barbara A. Colucci of Mamaroneck passed away on
Thursday evening November 11, 2004 at United Hospital in Port
Chester after a three and a half year fight with cancer. She was
76 years old.
Born on September 19, 1928 to Helen and George Sohier of New York
City, she was married on August 7, 1949 in the Bronx to
Raymond Colucci where their reception followed at the Chester
House in Parchester. They were married 55 years. Her husband
Raymond, her daughter Laura and son-in-law Thomas Allison and
grandchildren Thomas Jr., and Kerri of Yonkers survive Barbara.
Her son Robert, daughter-in-law Marianne and his stepdaughters
Christine and Debra of New City, NY also survive her.
Barbara will be remembered as a wise, strong, intelligent and
dignified lady who loved her husband, her family, nieces,
nephews and friends. She was fond of good food and the fun that
accompanies all of the wonderful moments of sharing life with
those she held so dear. She made a real difference in so many
lives.
Her professional career included 19 years at the Loew’s Summit
Hotel in Manhattan. Barbara was a retired member of the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 3 of New
York City. A resident of Mamaroneck for over 35 years, she was
often found with Raymond at their country home in Laurel, NY
on the North Fork of Long Island enjoying the beauty of its
shores. The void in all her loved ones will be vast and deep.
She instilled an appreciation for beauty and life in all of us.
Her family will be present to receive friends on Sunday,
November 14 at the Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck
from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday,
November 15 at the Holy Trinity Church at 9:30 am in Mamaroneck.
Interment will follow at the family plot at St. Raymond’s
