LAONE S. (LEE) PHILBRICK

Laone S. Philbrick died from brain cancer on October 31 in Hawthorne, NY. She was 81 years old. Lee was born on September 3, 1923 in New York, the daughter of Walter and Dorothy Starck.

She graduated from Gorton High School in Yonkers and attended James Madison University. She married H. Robert Philbrick in 1947 who predeceased her in 1979. Lee was a resident of Scarsdale Girls Scout Council and the Scarsdale Women’s Club and a member of the Scarsdale Golf Club.

She is survived by her dear companion, John Landoldt of White Plains, and her three children; Susan Philbrick of Singapore, Barbara Philbrick of Larchmont and Bill Philbrick of Crompond, and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Service at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Greenburgh Nature Center, 99 Dromore Rd. Scarsdale, NY 10583. (914) 723-3470 or the Scarsdale Golf Club.
