ALBERT BABILOT
Albert Babilot, formerly of NYC died suddenly
on October 25, 2004 at age 86. He was born on March 10, 1918 to
August and Esther Babilot.
Albert was a Building Engineer for Local Union
32B. He served as a Corporal in the Marines during WWII.
Albert received the WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal,
Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, as well as the Good Conduct
Medal. He also served as a member of the National Guard from
1935-38. In addition, Albert was a member of the American Legion
in Albany, the Guiding Star Angle Lodge 565, the Free and
Accepted Masons in the Bronx where he was Master in 1962 and
1966, and was also the past District Deputy Grand Master.
He was also involved in other associations including the Kismet
Temple, the Order of Jesters Court 30, and the Azim Grotto.
Albert is survived by his daughters, Margaret Polyakovics and
Carol DiForio (husband John). Cherished brother of George
Babilot and Margaret Compton. Devoted grandfather of James
McCoy, Rose Marie Carter, Kenneth McCoy, John Polyakovics,
Denise DiForio, Dawn DiForio, Mark DiForio and adored
great-grandfather of eight.
Reposing on Wednesday, October 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at COXE &
GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.
Funeral service Thursday, October 28 at 9:30 AM at the funeral
home
followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery.
