FLORENCE DIGIACOMO CARPENTER
Florence DiGiacomo Carpenter passed away on October 18, 2004.
Florence was the daughter of Vito and Rose DiGiacomo, born in Larchmont, NY in 1912.
She attended Mamaroneck Schools, moved to Port Chester and worked in S&K during the war
years. Later, she moved to Harrison and worked in the Harrison Schools as a cafeteria
worker. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church.
Florence is survived
by her son, Wayne Carpenter and his wife, Sherry, and two grandsons: James and Ben,
who live in California. She is also survived by three sisters: Rita Ianello of Port
Chester, NY; Virginia Putrino of Greenwich, CT and Theresa Greco of Riverside, CT.
Her husband, Maurice Carpenter passed away earlier in 1964. She is also predeceased by
two brothers: Jack and William DiGiacomo and four sisters: Mary DiGiacomo, Edna Cavalea,
Jean Varbaro and Marge Francia.
Mrs. Carpenter will be Reposing at the Harrison Funeral Home on Thursday, October 21
from 5-9 pm.
Funeral to be held on Friday, October 22 at 9 am at the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial
10 am at St. Gregory the Great Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery,
