RUTH BUSCHEL

Ruth Buschel, nee McGlinchey died on October 17, 2004 at age 78. Born on October 7, 1926 in Gourock, Scotland, Ruth grew up in Mamaroneck and later moved to Harrison. After graduation from Bellows High School in 1944 she graduated from McGill Art School in New York City. She was then employed by Conde Nast as an artist before her marriage to Stanley J. Buschel on June 12, 1948. Stanley passed away in 2002.

She is survived by her three children Susan J. Buschel of Port Chester, Douglas J. Buschel (Wife Diane) of Yorktown Heights and Laurie Buschel-Arcuri (fiancee Jeff Fink). Ruth is also survived by her brother Matthew McGlinchey (wife Noel) of Carmel, New York. Ruth was also a loving grandmother to Nancy, Dan and Carolyn of Yorktown Heights and Lisa, Brett, Ryan and Faith of Harrison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, 785 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, October 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at COXE AND GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, NY. Funeral service Wednesday, October 20 at 10 am at All Saints Episcopal Church in Harrison followed by an interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
