MELANIE BASTIAN IULIUCCI

Word has been received from Raleigh, NC that former Larchmont resident Melanie Bastian Iuliucci passed away from cancer on October 2 at the age of 58.

Melanie Bastian grew up on Hickory Grove Drive in the unincorporated area of the Town of Mamaroneck. She attended Murray Avenue Elementary and Mamaroneck Junior and Senior High Schools. She attended Helen Adams School of Dance, attended Larchmont Ave. Presbyterian Church and spent time at the Orienta Beach Club. Since 2002, she was active in many cancer support groups in North and South Carolina. She spent her final months painting and spending time with her children and newborn grandson.

Bastian was the daughter of the late Lucile and Carl Bastian of Larchmont and Mamaroneck. She is survived by her four sons: John, Scott, Todd and Devin; a daughter, Morgan; grandson, Maddux; two brothers: Skip and Gary and her companion, Jack Wood.

Donations, in her name, may be sent to: Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Marys Street, Raleigh, NC 27605. A Memorial Service will be held on October 9, Saturday, at 9 am at Larchmont Avenue Church.
