JUDGE FRANCIS J. "FRANK" LYONS
Judge Francis J. "Frank" Lyons on September 29, 2004. He was 81.
Judge Lyons was born in New York to John and Julia (nee Kelly)
Lyons on May 4, 1923.
Judge Lyons was a veteran of World War II, serving
in the 13th Airborne Division. Later he married Ann (nee Bricker)
at St. Gregory the Great on December 26, 1959. He graduated
Columbia College, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi and
also graduated from Columbia Law School. He served as Federal
Judge for the United States Department of Justice, INS from 1951
to 1989 when he went back into private practice. Judge Lyons was
a member of the Monsignor Stanley Mathews Council of the Knights
of Columbus and the Coveleigh Club in Rye.
Survived by his wife, Ann, children: Frederick J. Lyons and John
Francis (wife, Susannah) Lyons and his cherished grandson,
John Olentine.
Reposing Saturday, October 2 from 7-9 pm and Sunday,
October 3, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at
COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 East Boston Post Road,
Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass 10 am Monday, October 4 at St. John and Paul R.C.
Church, followed by interment at Greenwood Union. Memorial
