MARGARET ALICE CASERTA

(September 26, 2003) Margaret Alice Daley Caserta born July 11, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY died September 20, 2003 in the early morning after a year long battle with cancer.

She was the beloved daughter of the late James J. and Margaret Daley, beloved sister of Mary A. Daley and brother of James J. Daley. She was the devoted mother of five children and 15 grandchildren ranging in age from 27 years to 3 months old: son, Michael and his wife Jeannie and their children, James, John and Julie of Coral Springs, FL; son, Patrick and his wife Rose and their children, Max, Stacey and Jack of Katonah, NY; daughter, Margaret (Maggie) Lau and her husband Michael and their children Allison, Katie Margaret and Michael Dana of White Plains, NY; son, Tony and his wife Lauren and their children Luke, Margaret Grace and Ryan of Charlestown, MA and son, Robert and his wife Annie and their children Michael Daley, Caitlin and Robbie of Madison, CT.

The family wrote, "Up until our mother was diagnosed with cancer last fall she devoted her life to the caring of others for over 50 years as a Registered Nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City and Harrison, NY. Our beloved mother will be truly missed by her family and friends of many years, as well as by her colleagues."

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to: "Swim Across America." This memorial fund will be in her name and will aid others in the battle to find a cure for cancer.
