ROSE ALCOTT

(March 18, 2003) Rose Alcott, age 91 of Santa Monica, CA (formerly of Westport), died Tuesday March 18, 2003 in her residence. Mrs. Alcott was born in Melitz, Austria, daughter of the late Samuel and Frieda (Wadler) Eigerman. Mrs. Alcott and her late husband, Harvey Alcott lived in Westport for 20 years, and were among the founders of Temple Israel in Westport. Mrs. Alcott was the first President of The Temple Israel Sisterhood, and Mr. Alcott served as President of the Temple.

Mrs. Alcott is survived by her son, Mark Alcott and his wife, Cantor Susan Alcott of Larchmont, NY., her daughter, Tama Taub and her husband, Dr. Robert Taub of Santa Monica, CA., her daughter, Gail Alcott of Los Angeles, CA., a sister, Mary Young of Cedar Hurst, L.I., and by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will take place on Sunday, March 23rd at 10:00 A.M. from The Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, CT., with interment following at Temple Israel Cemetery on Richards Ave. in Norwalk.
