MARIE IRWIN
( September 17, 2002) Marie Irwin, 85, died of lung
cancer on August 10, 2002 at Calvary Hospital in New
York.
Marie Irwin had lived in New Rochelle since 1946, and
had been a cub scout den mother, neighborhood volunteer
and PTA participant. She was also a former business
owner and Larchmont Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Irwin is survived by her two loving sons, Michael,
of Long Beach, California and Mead, III, of Boston,
Massachusetts and Westchester, New York. Both were at
her bedside when she died. She was predeceased by her
husband, Mead, Jr.
A memorial service and reception will be held at 3:00
pm on Friday, September 20 at St. John's Episcopal Church,
Fountain Square in Larchmont. The memorial will begin
at 3:00 pm and the reception will follow. For more information,
