Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Rosemary Schlotter

Rosemary Schlotter passed, sadly, on December 27. Rosemary was born on October 13, 1939 in Port Chester to Bernard T. and Mary Downey Ehret and lived her entire life in Mamaroneck.She attended the Academy of the Resurrection in Rye, and graduated with honors. She also attended Katharine Gibbs Business School in Manhattan.

Rosemary married George W. “Buddy” Schlotter on October 17, 1960. He predeceased her in 1987. She worked as Executive Assistant to the President of Rosco Laboratories in Stamford, CT for over 35 years. Rosemary loved boating, sitting by the water reading a good book, or doing the NY Times crossword puzzle. Her family and friends enjoyed her rapier wit and delightful sense of humor. She shared her life-long love of knitting by teaching it to many enthusiastic students.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter Karen Schlotter of Mamaroneck, her son, Thomas ( Shelby ), and grandchildren TJ and Jackson of Bethel, CT. She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Spiridakis of Idaho, Sue Harlan of Oregon, Mike of New York and Tom of New Mexico.

Friends may call from 2-4PM and 7-9PM on Tuesday, January 4 at the COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY. Memorial mass will be celebrated 11AM on Wednesday, January 5 at St. Gregory the Great Church, Harrison, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society,
