Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Michael C. Carpino

Michael C. Carpino, of Mamaroneck, died July 22, 2009 at the age of 80. Born in Larchmont October 14, 1928 to Michael and Angelina (Frangella) Carpino. Michael served during the Korean Conflict and later went on to work as a Delivery Driver for Thomas English Muffins where he drove routes in Greenburg, Scarsdale, and Yonkers. Michael was a member of the VFW of Mamaroneck and he is remembered as an avid Mets fan.

In 1950 he married his beloved wife of 51 years, Rosemarie (Possidento). She predeceases him. Michael is the loving father of Michael Carpino (Carol), John Carpino (Barbara), Joyce Feldman and Nancy Vigue (Eddie). Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Tracy, Eddie, Jill, Brian, Samantha, Alison and John and great grandfather of Christopher. Dear brother of Irene Glaser, Virginia DiPanfilo, Mary Fiorito, Theresa Farino and the late Katie Allen, Anthony and Frank Carpino.

Visitation Thursday, July 24 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767E. Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24 at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
