Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Margaret Mary Mancuso

Margaret Mary Mancuso (nee McGlynn) died on Friday November 27, 2009 at the age of 82. Peggy, as she was known to all, was born in the Bronx, NY on September 11, 1927 to Daniel and Catherine McGlynn. She was married for 54 years to her beloved husband Paul, who predeceased her in April, 2005.

She was a long time parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church. Peggy attended local schools in the Bronx and graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School in 1946. Upon graduation she worked in the corporate offices of the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company before leaving to devote herself to raising her family. She is survived by her daughters Mary Vasami (husband Ralph), Barbara, Joanne Lancia (husband St

ephen), and Catherine Boyack (husband Robert); grandchildren Ralph (wife Kelly), Chris, Greg and Laura Vasami, and Brennan, Kylie, Dylan and Gavin Boyack, great grandson Jake Vasami and step-granddaughter Harly Lancia; sisters Mary Bastone and Catherine McGlynn. She is predeceased by a sister Helen and brothers Edward, Daniel and Patrick. Peggy was also loved by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom she has left behind.

 Family will be receiving friends Sunday, November 29 from 4-7pm and Monday, November 30 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home 767 East Boston Post Road Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 1 at 10:30am at Most Holy Trinity Church in Mamaroneck. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be sent to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, 386 Park Ave. South 17th Floor, NY, NY 10016.
