Judy A. Trifiletti, of Mamaroneck, died on April 5, 2009 at home after a long illness at age 62. Judy was born in Yonkers to Valentine and Sallie (Bonnie) Brady.
At one time she worked as administrative assistant to the head of communications at IBM. In 1997 she graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a masters in Science and Education. She had a passion for education and worked as a teacher in PS 197 in the South Bronx. Soon her ability led her to be a professional developer and a mentor to other teachers. She loved music, reading and tending to her garden. Stray animals found a friend in her, as it was her nature to make life better for everyone as well as all God’s creatures.
Judy was a compelling and courageous woman. She is the beloved wife of Phil Trifiletti, the devoted mother of Jessica and Jaclyn and loving sister to Bonnie Lynn Castro (husband William).
Reposing on Tuesday, April 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home, 767 East Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck. Funeral Mass is on Wednesday, April 8, 10 AM at St. Vito’s R.C. Church followed by entombment at Ferncliff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Mamaroneck Library Building Fund, 136 Prospect Ave., Mamaroneck.
