Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Judith H. Fillat

Judith H. Fillat, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on August 6, 2010. She was 59. Mrs. Fillat was born on June 7, 1951 in Port Chester to the late William and Loretta (Ireland) Reck.

Judith grew up in Mamaroneck, and worked for many years as a bank teller. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony whom she married in 1973. He was a retired Lieutenant in the New Rochelle Fire Department. He died on October 11, 1995. She is survived by her three children: Amy Fillat and her husband Mitchell Rutkin, Anthony J. Fillat Jr., and Billy Fillat; a grandson Sean; two brothers William and Robert Reck and a sister Barbara Spasiano.

Visiting hours Sunday, August 8 and Monday, August 9 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at LLOYD MAXCY & SONS BEAUCHAMP CHAPEL, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at 9:30AM at Holy Family Church. Interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
