Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

John Warren

John Warren 71, died February 7, 2010 surrounded by members of his family in Harwich, M.A. John resided in Mamaroneck, NY and graduated Mamaroneck High School. After graduation John enlisted in the U.S. Army.

John, Whitey or JD as he was known, was employed by County Trust Bank and Union Carbide. John also worked at Winged Foot Golf Club for several years. John retired and moved to Miami, Florida until he became ill, and then moved to Harwich, M.A. Cape Cod where he resided until he died.

John is survived by three sisters and four brothers, the uncle of 13 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. John was a son of Joseph and Gloria Warren and was predeceased by three members of his family Mary Lou, Gloria and Joseph Warren Jr. John will be buried at National Veterans Cemetery, Bourne, M.A. June 11, 2010 at 11 am.
