Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Grace Lamantia

Grace Lamantia, passed away May 9, 2010 on her 95th birthday at Greenwich Hospital. Born Grace Agresta May 9, 1915 in New Jersey to Louis and Grace Agresta. She was the former owner of Larchmont Auto Parts, Larchmont, NY along with her husband Frank and her Son Eugene.

She is survived by four children and their spouses. Nanette Suppa, Eugene LaMantia, Grace Criner and Louise Chalmers. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and two Great great Grandchildren. Two nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Frank and two sisters Mary Rice and Beatrice Chamot.

On May 11, 2010 a Funeral Mass was held at Corpus Christi Church. She was laid to rest at St.Mary’s Cemetery. The funeral arrangements were made by Joseph Tutera Funeral Home, Inc. in Port Chester, NY.
