Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS


In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Gloria Argenta

Gloria Argenta, passed away May 7, 2011 at age 85. Born May 27, 1925 in New York, NY to Eliseo and Concetta (Leonelli) Napolitano. For many years, Gloria worked as a secretary for various companies. She was a 40 + year member of the Mamaroneck Woman’s Club where she recently served as Treasurer of the Evening Section, a 17 year member of the Friends of Sarah Neuman, 5 year member of the Holy Trinity Ladies Guild, and also volunteered her time at Greenwich Woods Nursing Home in Greenwich, CT.

Survived by her cherished children Allyn (Gerald) Reilly, Christopher (Ann) Argenta, Scott (Darlene) Argenta, Jacqueline (Charles) Treat, Elizabeth (Eugene) Seit, and 9 adoring grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Louis and a brother John Guarnieri.

Visitation Tuesday, May 10 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Wednesday, May 11 at 10am at Most Holy Trinity Church in Mamaroneck, followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gloria’s name to the American Diabetes Association or Most Holy Trinity Church.
