Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

George R. Delfico

George R. Delfico of Larchmont, on August 13, 2010 at age 80. George was born in New York City to Carmine “Charlie” and Concetta (Frascione) Delfico.

George was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and later worked for the City of New Rochelle as a civil engineer. He was a strong man with a great sense of humor, who loved to sing as well as solve puzzles or make model airplanes. He was also an avid fan of baseball and football.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Margaret (Morrell) Delfico, cherished father of Debora Hachey (Dave) Lorraine Delfico (Kelly) and George M. Delfico (Cindy) devoted brother of Thomas and Peter and grandfather of Darren Traynor, Keith Traynor, Logan Traynor and Isabella Delfico.

Reposing on Sunday evening, August 15 from 7 to 9 pm and  Monday, August 16 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 East Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck NY,  . Funeral Mass Tuesday, August 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine’s R.C. Church. Committal will be private. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Research, 1111 Stewart Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714.
