Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Elvira Grande

Elvira Grande (nee Bilotta), of Larchmont, died August 17, 2009 at age 82. Born July 27, 1927 in Italy, she came to the United States in 1947. Elvira worked as a seamstress for the ILGWU.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Lena Wicker (husband Patrick) and Joanne Rice (husband Ted) and loving grandchildren, Kevin Rice, Lauren Wicker, Sarah Rice and Kelly Wicker. She is predeceased by sisters Amelia Filosa and Marietta Presta.

Visitation Wednesday, August 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck, NY. 914-6985968. Funeral Mass Thursday, August 20 at 10 am at Sts John & Paul RC Church in Larchmont, NY followed by interment at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
