Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Dora Goldstone Stockman

Dora Goldstone Stockman, 97, died on February 10, 2010. She was born in NYC on December 19, 1912. Mrs. Stockman was married to the late Abram H. Stockman (d. 1977) and resided in Larchmont, New York until her death. She was a 1935 graduate of Pembroke College at Brown University.

Mrs. Stockman was active in the Larchmont Garden Club and the Westchester Ethical Culture Society. She was an avid reader, gardener, opera lover, and creative artist.

She is survived by her sister, Betty White; her children Peter, James (Cornelia), Edward, and Abigail; seven grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Larchmont Public Library, 121 Larchmont Ave. Larchmont NY. 10538.

Memorial Service for Dora Goldstone Stockman to be held May 22, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at 1 Colonial Lane, Larchmont.
