I, too, am very saddened by Chris' death, my friend and colleague. She was a tireless advocate for our local food pantry and the people it serves. Chris was one of the founders of the Hunger Task Force and served as its Secretary for the past 16 years, writing hundreds of thank you letters every year to the generous people who contribute to the work of the Food Pantry. She was always on the lookout for a neighbor who might need help and was quick to sign them up for food from the Pantry. Chris' smile would brighten your day, but she always chose to work "behind the scenes". The Hunger Task Force will be forever grateful for her incredible dedication, and I feel a deep personal loss. My prayers are with her family and friends.
