Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Charles H. Waring

Charles H. Waring a resident of Larchmont died on July 1, 2010. He was 78 years old. Born in White Plains, NY on April 4, 1932 to Howard and Marguerite McKenna Waring. For many years Mr. Waring worked as an accountant for Exxon Corp., he also served in the United States Army. Charles earned a Bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and went on to receive his Masters degree from New York University.

He is survived by his wife Mary, six children, Catherine Armstrong (Tim), Michael Waring(Hansun), James Waring, Kevin Waring (Lynda), Patricia Broderick (Tom) and Margaret Waring as well as six grandchildren, Daniel and Benjamin Armstrong, Zoe Waring, Kyla Waring, and Kevin and Katie Broderick. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Lambert and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4PM & 7-9PM on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Sts. John & Paul RC Church, Larchmont, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Westchester, 311 North Street, Suite 204, White Plains, NY 10605.
