Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Charles A. Vallese

Charles A. Vallese passed away March 15, 2009 at age 87. Born August 20, 1921 in Herkimer, NY to Philip and Giovina Vallese. Before serving in the US Air Force, he worked for Remington Arms in Ilion, NY, where he inspected rifles. He proudly served with the 45th Air Depo Group in France, England , and Germany.

He worked as a Police Officer for the Village of Mamaroneck for 22 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Theresa (Tomassetti) of 62 years, sister-in-law Jennie Bucolo, brother-in-law Frank Ceneviva and many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by an infant son, his son Larry, brother William and sister Mary Ceneviva.

Visitation Tuesday, March 17 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, March 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post Rd, Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Thursday, March 19 at 10 am, St. Vito’s Church, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
