Gazette Ceases Publication: Donates Archives to LHS

In 2010, the Larchmont Gazette ceased publication. In 2011 the publishers donated all contents to the Larchmont Historical Society, which will continue to make the Gazette archives available online.

Albert Capasso

Albert “Snooky” Capasso, a lifetime Mamaroneck resident, died May 12, 2011 at age 91. Born February 6, 1920 to Pasquale & Edith Capasso. He was retired from the Teamsters Local #456. Albert was a proud 66 year member of the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department Volunteers Engine #42 & Hose Co #3. He was also the co-owner of Capasso’s Deli in Harrison.

Albert loved his family and had a special bond with his dog, Lucky. He is predeceased by his BELOVED WIFE JESSIE. Survived by his cherished children, Doug & Debbie Capasso and many loving nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by siblings, Jerry, Pat, Joe & Sonny Capasso, Ann Zeoli and Jean Barillari.

Visitation Monday, May 16 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767 E. Boston Post ,Rd Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Tuesday, May 17 at 10am St. Vito’s RC Church followed by committal at Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Mamaroneck Volunteer Fire Department or the American Cancer Society
