ELECT Norman Sirlin Rosenblum FOR MAYOR Louis N. Santoro FOR TRUSTEE Marianne Robino Ybarra FOR TRUSTEE VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK |
Norman Sirlin Rosenblum for Mayor, Louis N. Santoro for Trustee and Marianne Robino Ybarra for Trustee are now representing the Republican, and Conservative parties as well as the newly formed independent Taxpayers Relief Party.
“We are all honored and very appreciative of the independent minded voters of the Village endorsing our candidacy, stated Norm Rosenblum, on behalf of the “Unification Slate”. He further stated: “It is obvious from the broad base of support we have received with this endorsement, including members of all registered parties in the Village, that we have struck a desire by the vast majority of residents to return the “democratic process” to the Village of Mamaroneck and where all will be represented on a level playing field. The fact that we received more than three hundred percent of the required signatures, and substantially more than our opponents, we were able to garner the support that highlights the need for a change. We thank all who carried our petitions and look forward to that change in November.”
Rosenblum, Santoro and Ybarra, at the last Board of Trustees meeting on August 24th, noted Gov. Patterson’s projected one billion dollar short fall in the New York State budget, which will most likely result in direct loss of funds to the Village, and requested the Village put an immediate freeze on all hiring by the Village. It is this type of fiscal position that the Unification slate will be seeking in these unusual economic conditions and will also be issuing position papers covering other concerns expressed to them by the residents.
