Rockets Flare From Flint Park

On Sunday December 6th, Flint Park by the Hommocks Middle School was transformed into rocket launch central. Larchmont’s Cub Scout Pack 33, from the Tigers to Webelos, were given a mission to build, paint, and watch their rockets sail into the sky and land back safely on the ground with their parachutes.

Many families stayed to watch the rocket launch, even though it felt like it was below zero with a risk of frostbite.

The scouts and their families weren’t  freezing for long. After the rockets returned, everyone was treated to hot cocoa and snacks as the pack began planning for next year’s launch.
